Passion for God, Compassion for People
"By Reaching Neighborhoods”
What were you and I created for? Not just living, not just existing, we are here to make a difference. If you are like me you may think if I can buy, do, or get this or that then I will be fulfilled and that will make a difference in me. Wrong. JESUS said if we lose our lives then we will get them back, (Matthew 10:39).
Why would He say such a thing? He was telling us that we were made for something bigger than ourselves, bigger than our ideas and yes, bigger than our needs and wants. He was telling us that surrendering to Him and giving ourselves to others is what would actually fulfill our deepest desires. That is why touching others is such a vital part of Water of Life's ministry.
WE BELIEVE by reaching out to those in need we are investing our lives in theirs and making a difference. Sometimes that means packing boxes of food to feed the homeless and hungry. Other times that means rolling up our sleeves, getting dirty and physically working towards transforming our community. It also means showing compassion to those who need assistance emotionally, mentally and spiritually. We take God’s command to serve the poor seriously, and we seek to learn from those who have less.
